Stages of Dressmaking

So what happens to your dress order after you have chosen your dress, made payment and send us your measurements?

Here are the steps that we go through to get your dress made;

1. We send your measurement off to the factory to get the dressmaker to check them over for accuracy.
2. She confirms your measurements or gets you to re measure any area she thinks is not correct.
3. Once the measurements are in, we will send you a confirmation email with the design of your dress, the color, fabric and all your measurements.
4. Then you are asked to confirm the order.
5. Once the order is confirmed. Then the dressmaker makes a time for the patternmaker to have a look at your dress design and then put it in their schedule to create the pattern for you. This can take up to a week for the pattern maker to fit you in and typically creating a pattern and cutting it will take a full 1-2 days.
6. Once the pattern is cut, your dressmaker will schedule for it to be made.
7. Once the dress is made, they will place it on a mannequin and make minor pining and adjustments to your sizing and sew up the remaining areas to size to make sure it fits.
8. Now the dress is made, it will be passed on to be embroidered. Your dressmaker will schedule to embroider your dress and layout the pattern for the embroidery, this is the longest part of your dressmaking as everything is hand sewn.
9. When your embroidery is done, it will pass back into the hands of the dressmaker who will than place it on the mannequin to check everything including fit and quality, style and balance.
10. Once your dress passes quality control, the dressmaker will email us to let us know that your dress is completed.
11. From there on in you will be notified of a postal date and an expected arrive date for your dress.
12. The dressmaker will arrange shipping and handling cost and ask for you to re confirm your address before postage. This is where we need you to provide us all your information including contact number and correct postal address.
13. Once the dress is posted we will provide you with a shipping tracking number where you will be able to track the progress of your dress. It will take about 3-7 working days for your dress to arrive, depending on where you are located and any custom clearing issue the freight company may experience.
14. Once you sign for the dress we will receive notification that the dress have been delivered.
15. We will then send you a completion email to find out if the dress is to your satisfaction.
